Ben Bigelow (b. 1985 in Los Angeles) received his MFA from Stanford University in 2013 and a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008. This year he is a fellow at the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, where he is participating in two group shows opening at the end of May. In August he has a solo show at Pro Arts Gallery in Oakland as part of the 2x2 Solos program. Past exhibitions include group shows at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia and the Harlem Factory Fest in New York City. Ben was an artist-in-residence at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, PA, ARCE Artist Residency, WI, and The Wassaic Project, NY. He currently lectures in the Department of Art & Art History at Stanford University, and this fall will join the faculty at the Massachusetts College of Art & Design in Boston as an Assistant Professor. Ben Bigelow's works for this exhibition were created with generous support from the Kala Art Institute's Fellowship Program.
